TRM Knives + Mike Irie — Custom Compound Grind Perfection
TRM and Mike Irie are teaming up again to create something truly special.
As many of you know, Mike Irie has been a custom knifemaker since 1991, based in Colorado. He is also a member of the Knifemakers’ Guild and the Professional Knifemakers’ Association. Mike is known for his exceptionally smooth, clean custom hollow hand-ground and polished blades. His work is sought after by custom collectors and knife companies alike for special-edition models.
For this collaboration, Mike brings his signature custom compound grind and hand-polished mirror finish to our insanely popular Neutron 2.
CNC machined stainless steel blade. Heat treated. Surface ground. Hand-ground. Mirror polished. The combination is truly stunning and highly original – TRM is only making a limited number of these beauties – beginning with titanium lizard skin handles along with CPM 154 steel. More titanium and carbon fiber scale options will be available later this year.

Les and Marianne Halpern’s relationship spanned more than 20 years, dating back to when he purchased custom knifemaking supplies from Halpern Titanium.
